The visiting birders who are staying over at Port Ellen had an Iceland Gull on Kilnaughton Bay yesterday and they also saw a small flock of 4 Fieldfare on the road leading out to the Oa. The "Bolton Birders" yesterday had an early start with a Peregrine flying off from Kilchoman over towards Coull at 7.30 am. Later on they saw the pair of Buzzards out over the crag. Down beside the lochans at Rockside road end, there was a tussle between a ring tail Hen Harrier and a Raven. 6 Roe Deer were present there too, also 10 Teal were counted on the lochans, while 2 Snipe got up from the ground close to the entrance to Coull. In the afternoon, at Machrie Croft, there was an Iceland Gull and another was round at Ballinaby.
