Quite a bit of rain fell last night as the burn that comes down past our house was quite full this morning, and our "pond" out in one of the fields, that appears from time to time, was evident this morning too. The Sparrowhawk crashed into the kitchen window this morning as it attempted to catch a bird off the bird table with no joy! James had a Golden Eagle over the reserve at Gruinart yesterday. James had been speaking with Chris Mills from Norfolk Birding who has been over on Islay this week with a tour, and back on Monday they had seen 8 Golden Eagles when they were out and about!
