Bob had been over at Bowmore this morning and had seen a Slavonian Grebe, a Red throated Diver and Red breasted Mergansers off Bowmore Harbour. Along at Gartmain, 5 Pale bellied Brent Geese were noted, while round the top of Loch Indaal, there were 2 Whoopers and another 12 further on. At Blackrock, there was a small group of Curlews and a single Pale bellied Brent Goose on the surf along the Uiskentuie Strand. Back at home, Bob has seen lots of Fieldfare and Redwing flying South down the Rhinns, a sign of colder weather to come? It was this time last year when the cold snap started to kick off.....
