Think I spoke too soon last night about the farmers having their combines out, as a shower of rain put paid to that, although late this afternoon they may well have got cutting again. Needless to say it has been quiet on the bird front, but Mick Durham had seen 5 Pale bellied Brent Geese flying South down the Sound of Islay today. Although the weather has not been great for Mick for getting images of our wildlife, he was saying that he has seen most of our raptors while he has been here apart from Eagles! Many thanks for your sightings Mick over the past foortnight, and your talk last night went down a treat! Yesterday, I noticed that there were more Greenfinches around on the feeders at the house and today more Pied Wagtails were in the fields as well as a few in the garden too.
