A better day today, but do not speak too soon as tomorrow looks like a wee cracker, the weather map tonight shows Islay covered in green... something to do with a lot of rain for those of you who do not receive our weather forecasts, predicting a lot of rain, so it will not be a white Christmas after all! Peter had been round Loch Gorm this afternoon. Over at Ballinaby, in the stubble turnip field opposite to where the Whitefronts were caught the other week, Peter counted over 300 Greylags and also saw 23 out of the 31 Whitefronts that had neck collars fitted to them. Due to the strong winds, he could not manage to read the actual collars as the car was getting bounced about by the wind! Peter also had 50 Lapwing and a Sparrowhawk there too.
