Yesterday, David and Jenny had been up the Craigens side (Eastern shore) of Loch Gruinart where they saw several Twite, on the loch itself, Pintail and Shovelor were seen. The highlight of the trip there was a White tailed Sea Eagle being mobbed by a Black headed Gull, with the gull winning the tussle and the big Eagle flying off....Along the flats at Gruinart, they had a Merlin and a Canada Goose hutchinsii sp. Behind Carnduncan, they had a ring tailed Hen Harrier while up at Sanaigmore a juv. Peregrine was having a go at a Raven, outcome not known as they both disappeared from view! A couple of Chough were also seen at Sanaigmore. Alan from Surrey had been over on Jura today had seen several Hen Harriers over on Jura, earlier on he had a Dipper over below Lossit on the Sound of Islay
