Yesterday, Andrew Kelly had been out and about down around Octofad ....

Rubha na Faing mid-morning: 8 Manx Shearwater in a steady stream travelling northwards; juvenile Kittiwake, 6 Fulmar, at least 6 Wheatear.  On the track from Octofad up through forest: Peregrine, at least 2 Buzzard, flock of 6 Chough, pair Raven. Masses of young Stonechat - had 6 on 6 consecutive fence posts at one point!

Yesterday, was Karen Graham's last day of her present visit up North, so I wonder whether she went and saw Hamish the young Polar Bear on her way home today.... Unfortunately I could not download her image of a common starfish, but might mage to do it tomorrow night....
"Well went along shore this morning and only new sighting was not a bird but a  common starfish.
Usual sightings of pied wagtails  common along the shoreline, resident heron on his usual patch, curlew, and a number of House Martins which come yearly to nest on houses beside sea. I always look forward to seeing them especially in early evening if you stand still and they fly and swoop all around you. """

Mark Shields this morning had seen an Osprey out fishing out on Loch Gruinart
