Not heard from anybody about any birds seen on Islay today, so although I might not be at home at present, I am always looking to hopefully see some birds. Today, I saw a male Siskin out on the bird feeders, and it had a metal leg ring fitted to its' leg. Needless to say I was unable to read the ring, so I cannot say where it had been rung initially, could it be a fellow Siskin that we found dead here in our garden ..  it had been rung in the Spring down in Catterick in Yorkshire....
