Monday 9th November

Think I could start off with the opening lines that I used last night again, but that the wind was slightly stronger. Armin is back over the week, and apart from attending the Islay Sessions over the weekend, he has managed some birds for us too. He had a Buzzard on top of a fence post round at Ballinaby on Saturday. Yesterday on his way to over to Saligo to watch the boiling sea and the waves there, Armin had seen around 30 Whitefronts crabbing their way in the wind, and then later on 7 Chough over the dunes behind Machir Bay, with the Choughs hugging the dunes... also yesterday Gary and Sam had done a waderwatch on Loch Gruinart from Bun an Uillt, with their birds seen included Oystercatcher, Lapwing, Redshank, Curlew, 4 Greenshank, 1000 Golden Plover, Pale belied Brent, Barnies, Mallard, Wigeon, Pintail, R b Merganser, Cormorant, Buzzard, juv Peregrine and 7 Herons.
