Yesterday was Andrew and Jane Greenwood's last full day here on Islay. Down on the Oa they saw 2pr of Ravens, Peregrine, nesting Fulmar and Kittiwake, as well as Swallows, House Martins and Sand Martins. Today, from the ferry heading back to Kennacraig they had 2 Puffins, over 30 Manx Shearwater, GND, RTD, BTD, Black Guillemot, Guillemot, Razorbill, Gannet, Fulmar and Kittiwake. Over their visit their total list was 126 birds for the fortnight. Many thanks to you both for your birds and we look forward to your visit in the Autumn.
This morning Michal had a pr of Golden Eagles over Creag Mhor on the reserve at Gruinart. Also this morning, down at Foreland a male Hen Harrier swooped across the road in front of us, less than 20 feet away, no bins needed for that one!
