Sunday 4th April

Nothing to report on the bird front tonight, but instead I can give you an update on the rain fall that has recorded on Islay for the month of March. Marsali had exactly the same amount of rain in her gauge as last year which was 116mm, or 4.56 inches in old money.... Matt Jackson's rain tally came to 3.13 inches for this March while last year his tally was 2.92 inches for March...

By the sound of things, I believe that the weather is to turn back to some cooler weather over the next few days with some snow being talked about, being thrown in for good measure.

Certainly looks like it's going to be a cold few days . Our Redstarts on migration will be held up from moving northwards . Still it gives me the chance to get some decent pictures...look after yourselves ...see you soon.. from Leicestershire.
