Around lunchtime today we watched a Golden Eagle wheeling around above Machir Bay. It was keeping a watchful eye on a kite, no not a Red Kite, but a kite being flown by a holiday maker for at least 5 minutes!!!! Distillery Dave spotted a male Hen Harrier down beside Loch Gorm as he headed home after his work. Out on the grass beside our house, 9 Song Thrushes were present this morning along with 3 Blackbirds..
